NACP    The National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) is a Programme under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOH & SW) in Tanzania. The vision is to contribute to the attainment of the vision of the overall multi-sectoral response expressed in the National Multi-Sectoral Strategy Framework for HIV/AIDS in order to make Tanzania free from the threat of HIV/AIDS and which cares for and support all those who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

APHFTA    Association of Private Hospitals in Tanzania is an association of private health care providers. It is a forum where private medical practitioners and their institutions exchange their ideas and chart out their development programs    
       
CSSC    Christian Social Service Commission represents the interests of about 15 member Churches and 10 Church related Organizations in Tanzania. One of its role is faciltating delivery at health services. The website also has a directory of christan health services including many hospitals and dispensaries.    
       
ESRF    The primary objectives of the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) are to strengthen capabilities in policy analysis and development management and to enhance the understanding of policy options in the government, the public sector, civil society, and the donor community and the growing private sector.    
       
KCMC    Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre is a referral hospital for over 11 million people in Northern Tanzania. The hospital is a huge complex with over 450 beds, with hundreds of outpatients and visitors coming to the centre everyday. More than 1000 people are employed at the centre. Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College is located within the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre. The College now has 16 Schools of Allied Health Sciences.    
       
MEHATA    MEHATA is a NGO of professionals in mental health. MEHATA is devoted to the welfare of those with mental disorders, their families and communities. We help the Ministry of Health to integrate mental health in primary care. If health workers identify and treat mental problems, then many more patients will be treated, and closer to their homes. MEHATA has developed diagnostic and treatment guidelines for mental health, and training modules.    
       
MuHEF    At the Muhimbili Health Exchange Forum website you can search for IEC materials, treatment, policy and training guidelines from MoH and WHO and health statistics. It is also possible to ask questions and have it debated in the discussion forum.    
       
NHIF    The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a compulsory health insurance scheme for public sector employees and their families. On the website you can find information about the NHIF and the facilities that provide services.

TEHIP was established to test innovations in planning, priority setting, and resource allocation at the district level, in the context of the reform and decentralization of Tanzania 's health care system.

Measure DHS - Tanzania    MEASURE DHS in the collection and use of data to monitor and evaluate population, health, and nutrition programs. Demographic and Health Surveys provide national and sub-national data on family planning, maternal and child health, child survival, HIV/AIDS/sexually transmitted infections (STIs), infectious diseases, reproductive health and nutrition. In addition, DHS can assist with improving ongoing data collection efforts to meet information needs in a cost-effective manner. DHS is also committed to increasing understanding and use of survey data.
